Luke 22:24-38 begins this study as Luke records some things Jesus told His disciples before they left the upper room and the city of Jerusalem. The disciples never did understand the meaning of Jesus' mission in the world until Pentecost. In the story of the Garden of Gethsemane, there are two movements: The agony of Jesus in communion, and the arrest of Jesus.
