If you know the Lord jesus Christ as your Savior, and there has been a time in your walk with Him that you have spent precious time in His Word, you know the joys of such communion. But we all know that life is sometimes hard and always busy it seems, and there come those times in which we may become so busy that without even realizing it our time in God’s Word may become crowded out. At first we may not even think about it because of all the busyness that consumes our time, but there will come a time that our own spiritual life will suffer to the point that it even comes to affect our emotional and even physical makeup! Just as the Lord’s chastening of David after his sin affected him physically, so does the neglect of spending time in our God’s Word.
