Want to know what will make your Thanksgiving meal more tasty this year? No matter where you go or what’s on the table, you can make it better by having some meaningful conversations about God’s goodness in your lives. Here are some questions and thoughts to spice up your Thanksgiving.

   (Have your guests to guess at the following and see who gets closest to the correct answer.)

1.    What is the most repeated phrase of thanksgiving in Scripture?
2.    How many times does the word “thanksgiving” appear in the Bible?
3.    How many times does the phrase “give thanks” appear in the Bible?
4.    How many times does the command “Be thankful” appear in the Bible?
    

       6 Biblical reasons to express your thanks to God:
(Put each one of these on a card and have someone to read it and then comment)

1.  To let others know of His great works.  Ps 105:1; 79:13
2.   For His goodness.  Ps 106:1
3.   For His enduring mercy.  Ps 107:1
4.   For the ways and times He has enriched your life with His generous gifts.

5.   For his unspeakable gift (abundant grace, salvation).  2 Cor 9:15; 4:15
6.   It is God’s will for you to be thankful.  1 Thes. 5:18
