Oops Communication Failure!

Oops,
Communication
Failure!

When our lawn mower broke, my wife kept hinting that I should get it fixed. Somehow I always had something else more important to do. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, snipping away with a tiny pair of scissors. I summed up the situation and without a word went into the house and returned to give her a toothbrush.

Puzzled she asked, “What’s this for?”
“When you finish cutting the grass,” I replied, “Please sweep the driveway,”

Wrong thing to say! The doctor says I’ll probably walk again, but may have a limp.

Seriously, communication between husband and wife is a language of signals as well as words: miss the words or the signals and life can become unpleasant.

How are communications in your home? If you think all is well with communications in your home, you may have missed the signals.

God’s Word has much to say about communication in the home. Dr. Mark Lee shares valuable insights on how to improve your communications (20800, Communications in the Family). His humorous and helpful style may be a marriage saver for you or someone you care about.

If you would care to speak with a Biblical advisor concerning a spiritual need in your life, you can reach one at BBNchat.org.
