One of Those Days

 “ONE OF THOSE DAYS”

Have you had lately “one of those days?” You know, one of those days in which everything seems to go wrong?  

Some time ago I read in the Jerusalem Post about a man trying to end his life. He jumped from a bridge to the pavement below.  Instead of hitting the pavement, he landed on a pile of mattresses being hauled in the back end of a truck.  At the moment of his cushioned landing, he probably thought. “Some days, nothing goes right!”

Certainly Christians never feel like that- right? Wrong! We all eventually experience moments of discouragement, despair or even depression.  David, the Psalmist wrote:
“Will the Lord cast off forever?  And will He be favorable no more?
Is His mercy clean gone forever?  Does His promise fail for evermore?  
Has God forgotten to be gracious?...”  (Psalm 77:7-9)
