Cha-Ching! Cha-Ching!

Cha-Ching! Cha-Ching!
An unemployed mother was playing the slot machines in a casino. Cha-ching! Bling! Bling! Blaring noises and blinking LED lights on her machine notified Katrina that she had won 43 million dollars! Customers and employees surrounded her with cheering and celebrating. She was asked to return the next day for her winnings. However, upon her return the following day, Katrina was informed that hadn’t won anything, that her machine had malfunctioned! Instead, she was offered a free meal. I'm sure we cannot adequately feel the plummet of her disappointment and the rage of her anger.
Maybe you are questioning the ethics of casinos and gambling or thinking how foolish it is for a jobless person to be spending money on gambling. We live in a world that promises much but delivers little, a world of great deception! The Bible has much to say about deception and that we should avoid it. It conveys that we can be deceived by preachers and teachers, good words and fair speeches, alcohol, pride, lust, pleasures and emotions, by Satan and by our own selves. But God, the Heavenly Father, has answers for your questions, purpose for your difficulties, empathy for your sufferings and truth to guide you through this deceiving and clueless world. These can be found in His word.
We invite you to avoid deception and make some time to study and to seek to know God’s wise words and ways in one of our Bible Institute courses (BBNbi.org).
