BBN-English
Our annual BBN Share-a-thon will be October 3 through 6 this year. We always have it the Monday through Thursday closest to our birthday, October 2nd. Be praying about the part that God would have you to play in this endeavor. This Share-a-thon is for the day to day operating expenses of the network. You commitment is in the form of a Faith Promise. That is strictly between you and the Lord. We only ask you to call in or go online to make that commitment so that we can know when we have the goal reached. The goal this year is once again $5,000,000 as it has been the past few years. We have more outlets today and many more listeners, but we have kept the goal the same. We look forward to hearing from all of our friends and listeners.
BBN-Spanish
Our Spanish team will be in Caracas, Venezuela next week for the annual Share-a-thon at that radio station. Pray that God will bless that endeavor. God has been blessing there and we praise Him for what He has done. We want to achieve even more for Him in that country and around the world in Spanish. In fact, BBN has a new station in Potosi, Bolivia. The station was put on the air yesterday September 14, at 7:00 p.m. The station is licensed for 1000 watts and the frequency is 89.5 FM.
Meanwhile, in Argentina God blessed the ministry there. Our Area Ministry Representative sent this report. “This is the testimony of a neighbor of BBN in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She called us some time ago looking for someone to clarify some confusion and doubts she had about the Word of God shared in our station. When we asked for her address to go visit her, we found out she had her business just across the street from us. We visited her a few times and there was always an obstacle for us to talk deeply about her salvation. Even though she did not have eternal security, she listened faithfully to our station and requested ITL cards so that others could listen as well. Today, very early in the morning, I went by her business place before any clients arrived. Because of God’s grace I could share Christ with her and she accepted Him as her personal Savior. We thank God for the salvation of this listener.”
BBN-Brazil
Pray that our Brazilian team will be able to give the gospel out in more public schools the next few months, as school there is in the second semester will be out for summer there by then. We praise the Lord for these open doors.
BBN-Chinese
One of the wonderful things about webcasting is that we can meet people where they are and help meet their spiritual need. This email from a Chinese listeners points that out. “A patient’s mother shared Jesus Christ with me when I was eleven staying in Xi-An Hospital waiting to have a heart operation. Since that time, I have never met a Jesus believer after more than 10 years. My family, relatives, friends, colleagues and classmates, none of them is Christian and some of them are Buddhist believers. I live and work in a remote place, far away from church. I feel so blessed that I can listen to Bible Study through BBN-Chinese. I hope to get to know more Christian friends. Would you please pray for me? I would like to receive ITL cards to share my faith too, please send me some. Thanks a lot.”
BBN-Japanese
It thrills us to hear of our listeners reaching out to others by giving our ITL cards. “Thank you for sending the ITL cards, which I have received. I carried 200 ITL cards in my briefcase when I went to Osaka. I gave an ITL card to a man there. He read the words on the back of the card- then he started talking to me. He had wanted to die because he had felt no hope in his life. This was my chance to share the gospel with him. I hope that he still listens now to BBN-Japanese radio. I will keep sowing gospel seeds.”
BBN-Korean
This e mail came from a listener to BBN-Korean: “I am amazed at how big God's love is as I watch my daughter. How happy I am when I see my daughter’s writing a birthday card for me. I am so pleased with this small preparation, then how God will be happy when he watches BBN-Korean who gives God’s Word to listeners everyday. Further more when the listeners get saved and are getting to know our Father God, there will be no parallel than this teaching. Thanks from my heart, BBN-Korean; your preparation pleases both the Lord and the listeners.
BBN-German
Where do people listen to the German webcast? Most would answer Germany and that would be partially correct, but there are so many other places, like Switzerland: “I just wanted to give you the answer I did not give you before; soon it will be 40 years ago that I made my decision to trust in Jesus. Praises be to God! Lots of love, your brother.” Most would never think of Chihuahua, Mexico: “I have been saved almost three years now. I am glad that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. God has wonderfully blessed me.” That is what is so wonderful about the Internet, we can minister to these and so many more daily.
BBN-Russian
We getting some responses from the listeners about our Family Altar program: “I am grateful to God for your radio ministry and especially for the “Family Altar” program. I am praising Him because He lets you broadcast for the many Russian-speaking people around the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers about my family and for my coming surgery.” Here is another one: “I am grateful to God and want to thank you for the prayers. My mom finally got the job. Please continue to pray for her that God will bless her on this job.”
